Duties The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for operating and supporting injection molding machines in a production environment to ensure consistent, high-quality molded parts. This role focuses on part handling, basic machine operation, insert changes, and in-process inspection, but does not include machine programming or advanced troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or molding environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard work instructions. This full-time position reports to the Production Manager or Lead Operator. * DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operate injection molding machines in accordance with established work instructions and production schedules Catch, inspect, and package molded parts to quality and customer requirements Perform insert changes and basic mold-related tasks as directed, following documented procedures Monitor parts for defects and immediately report quality issues, machine alarms, or abnormal conditions to the supervisor Perform basic machine interactions such as starting and stopping cycles, clearing minor jams, and material handling as instructed Maintain accurate production, scrap, and downtime records by clocking work into the ERP system Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and on-time delivery requirements Assist with routine preventive tasks such as cleaning molds, tooling, and workstations as assigned Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and inefficiencies * Qualifications Prior experience in injection molding or a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to follow written work instructions, process sheets, and verbal directions accurately Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual defects in molded parts Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment Willingness to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic computer skills and experience using ERP or production tracking systems preferred Good communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn High school diploma or equivalent * Physical Demands Requires standing for extended periods while operating molding machines Frequent use of hands and arms for catching, trimming, and handling parts Repetitive motion and bending may be required Must be able to lift and move materials, boxes, or tooling up to 60 pounds Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
