Domestic Tax Manager
Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join its Domestic Tax team in New York. This Director-level role sits within the Tax & Advisory function and focuses on federal and state income tax compliance, tax provision, and tax analytics across multiple legal entities. The position partners closely with Finance and business stakeholders to support regulatory reporting, tax strategy, and advisory initiatives. Compensation : $100000 - $175000 Job ID : 43189 Job Function: Prepare and review federal and state corporate income tax returns, including consolidated forms and supporting schedules. Manage tax provision processes, including separate company provisions, monthly and quarterly effective tax rate calculations, and financial statement disclosures. Oversee tax compliance activities across multiple legal entities, including high-volume tax adjustments in a deadline-driven environment. Perform tax analysis, planning, and analytics to support business initiatives, transactions, and strategic decision-making. Support tax audits and controversy matters, including responding to information requests and coordinating documentation. Review deferred tax balances, reconcile income tax accounts, and validate balance sheet tax positions for regulatory reporting. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and business teams while supporting special projects and process improvement initiatives. Job Requirements: 5-8 years of corporate tax experience. Strong technical knowledge of tax and the broader finance function, with understanding of industry dynamics and business drivers. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field. Experience addressing tax matters in a real-time, fast-paced environment. Significant tax compliance and ASC 740 experience required. Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Corptax is a plus. Financial services industry experience preferred but not required.
