Come be a part of this incredible and inclusive team at Invited !Job SummaryJob Title: Summer Golf Operations Intern (PGM Level 1 or Level 2)Duration: 3-Month Summer Internship (Full-Time – 40 hours/week)Internship Structure & Requirements Full-time schedule (approximately 40 hours per week) Compensation: $20.00 per hour Additional benefits may include: lessons, tournament pay, meals, golf shop discounts, and playing privileges Internship dates: May to August We are seeking a motivated Professional Golf Management (PGM) Level 1 or Level 2 student for a structured 3-month summer internship aligned with PGA PGM Work Experience Activities. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Director of Golf & Retail Operations within the largest owner and operator of private golf clubs in the United States.The intern will rotate through all aspects of golf operations, including golf shop, outside operations, retail merchandising, and tournament execution, while completing required PGM work experience activities for their level.Reporting Structure Director of Golf & Retail Operations Work Schedule Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines. Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required. Day-to-DayPGM Level 1 Learning Focus & ResponsibilitiesThis Internship Is Designed To Support Completion Of Level 1 PGM Coursework And Competencies. To Ensure a Well-rounded Experience, The Intern Will Also Gain Exposure ToGolf Operations Assist with driving range operations (setup, maintenance, member service) Support outside services (bag handling, cart staging, cleaning, and fleet management) Perform starter and marshalling duties to ensure pace of play and member experience Assist with basic club repair and equipment management Support golf instruction programs, clinics, and junior golf initiatives Assist with tournament operations, including setup, scoring, and breakdown Communicate event details (pairings, rules, results) to players Support prize distribution and post-event recap reporting Tournament OperationsRetail Operations Merchandising, inventory control, and visual presentation Receiving and organizing retail products Understanding sales performance and promotions Member and guest relations Food & Beverage coordination during events Golf course maintenance collaboration (as available) Club Operations ExposureAdministration & Leadership Overview of policies, procedures, and daily golf shop operations Introduction to budgeting, recordkeeping, and staff coordination Participation in staff meetings and leadership discussions Additional Duties Due to the dynamic nature of the organization, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management. About You Currently enrolled in a PGM Level 1 or Level 2 program Strong interest in pursuing a career as a PGA Professional Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and actively participate in all assigned areas Program CommitmentThis internship is part of an accredited academic program. The facility and supervising PGA Professional are committed to mentoring the intern, supporting completion of required work experience activities, and preparing the student for a successful career in the golf industry.Physical Requirements Work is performed both in a professional, office-based environment and outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time while using a computer Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds may be required (e.g., laptops, peripherals, or documents). May involve occasional travel to corporate or regional sites for meetings, training, or project reviews. Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing Requires frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing tools.
