Corporate Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the legal function.What You'll DoProvide practical legal advice to leadership, business teams, and the Board of Directors.Lead the legal department and oversee legal operations, workflows, and service delivery.Manage outside counsel, including selection, budgeting, and performance oversight.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents related to lending, real estate, and business operations.Advise on legal and regulatory matters, including compliance, employment, vendor contracts, privacy, and litigation.Support distressed credit and Special Assets matters, including restructurings, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and settlements.Help identify and reduce legal and regulatory risk across the organization.Assist with board governance matters, including bylaws, resolutions, policies, and meeting support.Develop legal training, policies, and guidance for staff.What We're Looking ForJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active law license in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia.At least 7 years of progressive legal experience.Experience supporting business, financial services, or other regulated organizations preferred.Strong background in commercial lending, real estate, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance is a plus.Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Additional RequirementsRegular onsite attendance is required.Travel to branch offices or other locations may be needed.
