Our organization employs teams with capabilities in structures, grading, utilities, storm drain, retaining walls, sound walls, signage, demolition, crushing, logging, clearing and grubbing and marine construction.Benefits:Competitive SalaryEmployee Paid Premiums for Medical InsuranceHealth Reimbursement AccountTelemedicinePaid Life InsurancePaid VacationPaid Holidays401(k) Retirement Plan with Matching ContributionsSign On/Referral BonusesPosition Overview: The position of Bridges and Structures Foreman has the direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality of workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time.Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and direct the work of a crew to assure the completion of assigned workEnsures that work is being performed safely and effectively by communicating and assisting crew members on proper use of equipment, job responsibilities, housekeeping, job requirements, and productivityEnsures that new employees are adequately trained in company policies, safety requirements and job responsibilitiesMaintains accurate daily payroll records for crew members' workMaintains a daily diary on events for future useResponsible for maintaining compliance of crew, and subcontractors on OSHA, NCDOT, and other federal requirementsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience required.Combinations of work experience and education may be considered.Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsOSHA 10 hour preferredRigging certification preferredFirst Aid/CPR certification preferredCurrent North Carolina Driver's License, requiredNCDOT Erosion and Sedimentation Control certification requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Able to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.Able to read plans and proposalsAble to write simple correspondence.Able to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common sense understanding in order to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems/issues involving several concrete variable in standardized situations.Experienced working around cranes, lifts, and heavy construction equipment.Basic computer skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Able to multiple task simultaneouslyAble to communicate to crew members in a professional and effective manner.Able to provide effective feedback to team members.Team OrientedSafety OrientedCustomer OrientedMust be 18 years of ageMust be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screenPhysical Demands:Extensive physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
