MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s) but will consider non-certified personnel with experience working with children CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:Valid driver's license issued by the NC Department of Motor VehiclesPrefer NC teaching license in the subject area that will be taught ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUses instructional and enrichment materials suitable for studentsProvides supplemental instruction in ReadingFollows curriculum and can make informed decisions based on the student's level.Provides individual and group support designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.Establishes and maintains standards of student management required to achieve effective participation in all activities.Provides appropriate support and enrichment activities for students to meet school/district policies, goals, and objectives.Maintains inventory records.Experience with varied forms of technology.Performs other related work as required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.WORK ENVIRONMENT
