About the RoleThe Territory Sales Engineer drives the profitable growth of Makino's advanced machine tool products within the assigned region. This role combines technical expertise with strong relationship-building and business development skills to deliver value to customers and expand Makino's market presence. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.Understand customer manufacturing challenges and propose tailored solutions using Makino's technologies.Manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting and presentations to closing and follow-up.Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless installation and customer satisfaction.Represent Makino at regional and national trade shows. QualificationsProven success in technical or capital equipment sales, ideally within the machine tool industry.Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss complex manufacturing solutions confidently.Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce and SAP experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
