Swim Instructor/Lifeguard

Position Type:Support Staff Date Posted:2/19/2025 Location: Aquatic Center The primary purpose of the Swim Instructor / Lifeguard is to supervise the safety and rescue of swimmers at the HCISD Aquatic Center. In addition, the Swim Instructor / Lifeguard prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies and provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Qualifications:Education/Certification:Must hold a current certification of the following:1.) First Aid,2.) CPR or CPR for the professional,3) Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard rating from an approved certification program, or relevant swim instructor/lifeguard experience Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of the daily routine of an aquatic center. Comfortable working with children during the swim lesson process.
