Resistance Welder (Spot Welder) - Aerospace

Job description A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced Welder. You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player. Job description Your tasks and responsibilities Performs advanced welding activities with minimum instructions and supervision Interprets complex blueprints, manufacturing drawing and written work instructions, as well as reads and interprets AWS welding symbols Sets up welding equipment in accordance with the appropriate Weld Process Specifications (WPS) Completes weldments to the applied AWS welding code and blueprint requirements Positions weldment details in location using fixtures, jigs, tape measure, square, rule, and caliper to meet blueprint, manufacturing drawings and quality requirements Observes and practices safety procedures and policies Knowledge and Experience Required High School diploma or equivalent experience 5 years of experience in Aerospace welding Strong understanding of Resistance welding procedures & processes Must have experience working with aerospace materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules and dial calipers) Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations Knowledge of welding machines and set up Ability to read, write and understand English. Must comply with Jager-2 Vision test compliance Competitive salary dependent on experience
