Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 401 (K) with generous company match Generous Paid time off (PTO) Vacation, sick, and paid holidays Life Insurance coverageJob DetailsResponsibilities:Promote, lead, and demonstrate safe behaviors at all timesComply with the site's standards and procedures in SHECDemonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in support of the department/company standardsDemonstrate leadership in SHEC through personal behaviors and conversations and report all SHEC incidents and participate in SHEC initiativesTake responsibility for the safety of all personnelDevelop plans and schedules in consideration of statutory requirementsAwareness and understanding of Nyrstar and TN Mine operations related to standards including specific governance and local legislative requirementsDeveloping the weekly (7+21) plan to achieve the Rolling 3-month plan (RoFo)Generating drill and blast designsDeveloping short terms level designsDeveloping waste/back filling plans if requiredWork closely with Mine Operations, Geology, Survey, Geotech and Mine Design when developing the mine plans and scheduleUndertaking regular Underground site visits to ensure that execution is compliant to the planAttend safety meetings and demonstrate safely leadershipAssist in development of SOPs and JSEA proceduresWork closely with senior mine planner to ensure that the 7+21 plan is complaint to the ROFO planComplete the weekly and daily compliance to plan and support the UG Mine Manager and Shift Boss in the reporting and meeting spaceTeam Relationships:Work closely with the engineering, geology and Mine Operations team to develop a robust mine plans, designs and schedulesOperate within the ROFO mine plan and aim to exceed the ROFO KPIs when developing scheduleEnsure integration with maintenance and other departmental planners to ensure mine plan is achievable and based on reasonable estimates and timelines.Ensure all work is planned in advance and everyone on the team is able to know what their plan is.Systems:Ensure that the 7+21 mine plan is compliant to the approved template provided by the senior plannerEnsure that the compliance to plan is developed and compliant to the MOSOperate within the MOS and drive compliance in all interactionsQualifications:EssentialExperience in Underground mine planning and schedulingDesirableTertiary Qualifications In a Mining Related DisciplineExperience in driving best practice through your department and into the business.Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposesTrack record in driving continuous improvementPreference for experience in DeswikInterested in hearing more?
