Purchasing & Inventory Control Agent

Job Description: OREQ Corporation is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Control Agent to join our team. This position is responsible for sourcing and bridging relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services. Use of analytical skills with sales forecasts and production planning is required for efficient inventory control. Essential Functions: Purchase all manufacturing and administrative supplies. Place purchase orders with suppliers based on forecasts. Track, receive, and verify purchase orders from start to finish, coordinating with the accounting and shipping & receiving departments. Analyze sales forecasts to determine optimal inventory levels to meet projected demand. Analyze and assist with production planning to ensure adequate materials are available. Conduct cycle counts on a regular basis. Minimum Requirements: Proficient with the Microsoft Suite and ERP software Generalist skills across the full supply chain in a manufacturing/distribution business Data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills Demonstrated critical thinking skills to make strategic business decisions Oral and written communication skills 1 year in a similar position or 2 or more years progressive development Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $30.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Application Question(s): What percentage of your procurement is routine and what percentage is new items requiring sourcing and negotiations?
