We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.Learn more about IR Centers here: https://youtu.be/YhLFlp789hgLocation: 51 Obery St, Plymouth, MA 02360Job Type: Full-time, Monday through FridayAs a Medical Receptionist / Surgical Scheduler at GBU, you’ll play a key role in welcoming patients, checking them in for their appointments, and managing referral calls. Your primary responsibility will be reaching out to referred patients to schedule consultations and procedures in a timely, professional manner.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent2 years of medical scheduling experienceEnglishBilingual (Preferred)Responsibilities:Greet callers warmly and serve as the first point of contact for patientsAnswer incoming calls promptly and manage phone systems (e.g., RingCentral)Perform front desk duties, including cross-training and maintaining punctual, reliable coverageProcess incoming referrals and proactively contact patients to schedule appointmentsSchedule consults and procedures while accurately collecting and updating demographic and insurance informationConfirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments as neededUse EMR systems and the Patient Tracker to align provider availability with patient needsPerform patient check-in and check-out, including insurance verification, referrals, and collectionsDiscuss insurance benefits with patients and coordinate with the billing team as neededPrepare and maintain required reports (e.g., sedation reports)Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and external offices regarding scheduling and patient needsAddress patient concerns professionally and provide excellent customer servicePerform additional administrative duties as assignedSkills:Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and clinicians regarding schedulingAbility to multitask in a professional and courteous manner, including managing a multi-line phone systemExcellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient satisfactionDemonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude in all interactionsProficient in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and EMR systemsApply to join our team at Greater Boston Urology with IR Centers!IR Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
