The Route Sales Specialist will be pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales growth within the dairy industry. Our ideal candidate is friendly, has a strategic, problem-solving mind, and has a background in agriculture.Fisher & Thompson is a service company for dairy farms across the East Coast. We offer a wide range of products allowing farmers to upgrade their equipment from robots to used equipment. We find experts and solutions to fit our customers' needs.Our Ideal Candidate:Experienced: Must have previous work experience within an agricultural setting. Sales experience is helpful but not required; we provide ample opportunities for training and continuous education.Excellent Communication Skills: Able to build good client relationships & trust by listening and providing exceptional service. A commitment to regular communication & follow-up. Strong verbal & written communication skills.Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft & Google Suites; previous data entry & record keeping experience is a plus but not required.Detailed: Able to accurately record purchase ordersTime Management: Self-motivated, comfortable taking the initiative, & fitting multiple clients into your schedule and meeting deadlines.Self-Starter: Committed to taking responsibility & ownership for your work; ambitious & hardworking, a go-getter who works well independently and with a team.Adaptable: Capacity to function well in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment.Analytical & Problem Solver: Able to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot a solution.Work Environment: Conditions associated with this position include, but are not limited to, farm environment, hazardous materials, electrical hazards, frequent driving, etc.Active: Must have flexibility to bend, stretch, kneel, squat, and crawl to perform tasks.
