Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in behavior or condition, and reporting findings accurately. Support medication administration following HIPAA regulations and care plans to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas. Use manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility for residents. Engage residents in recreational activities, socialization, and community outings to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements 1. DSP 1 Certification 2. Valid California Driver's license Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices. Ability to perform patient personal care assistance with compassion and patience. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training provided if needed. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy and confidentiality. Experience working in settings such as nursing homes, home health agencies, or long-term care facilities is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while supporting individualized care plans.
