Farwest participates in E-Verify and we confirm each candidate's eligibility to legally work in the US.Job Type: Full Time, OnsiteSchedule: Monday - Friday (Swing and Day Shift), with limited after hours and weekends as requiredStarting Wage: $18.50 - $21.50, depending on experience, plus $1.25 shift differential for SwingFarwest Steel's Operations Department seeks a knowledgeable and dependable individual to join their team as Production Assistant. In this role, you will process orders cut on the burning machines and assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed while following all safety policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities for this role include:Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.
