This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate products and solutions, and delivering exceptional services to support long-term partnerships. The Sales Representative actively manages a sales pipeline, achieves performance targets, and contributes to overall company growth.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing product support and identifying growth opportunities.Prospect, qualify, and secure new customers within the assigned territory.Promote and sell a full portfolio of coatings, paint, tools, and related equipment.Collaborate with Technical Representatives and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support.Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and performance expectations.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for expansion.Attend trade shows, vendor training sessions, and company meetings as needed.Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, and activity reports in a timely manner.Requirements2+ years of sales experience preferred; coatings, automotive, or industrial supply experience is a plus.Familiarity with automotive refinish products and processes is highly beneficial.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to achieving results.Strong customer service mindset and professionalism.Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory (Plymouth and surrounding areas).Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Key CompetenciesStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain long-term customer partnerships.Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and performance goals.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage customers and internal teams.Strong prospecting and business development skills to identify and convert new sales opportunities.Effective negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections and close sales.Solid organizational and time management skills to manage a sales pipeline and prioritize activities.Customer-focused approach with the ability to understand needs and recommend appropriate solutions.Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and track performance metrics.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
