Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown (PCU) position on a 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a primary neurology focus, requiring ACLS, NIHSS, and night shift availability.Job Details• Located on a 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (3East) with a primary focus on neurology and stepdown-level patients,• Patient population includes neuro/neurosurgical, cardiac, renal, and med/surg patients - including post-cath (no intervention), stable arrhythmias, post-pacemaker, syncope, and chronic renal failure,• Drips include Heparin; IV BP medications may be administered,• Respiratory support includes stable trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen; no ventilators (max O2 requirement: 6L),• Typical patient ratio is 1:5-6,• Uses Epic EHR (experience preferred),• 12-hour night shifts,• Every 3rd weekend required,• Every other holiday required,Job Requirements• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS and ACLS required,• NIHSS certification required,• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,• Stepdown or PCU background strongly preferred; Med/Surg experience with complex patient exposure considered,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,• Proof of address required for consideration (e.g., Driver's License, Voter Registration Card, Federal Tax Return, Military Form 2058, or W2),• SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration,• 1 supervisory reference required,• Copy of all certifications required,• Nursys license verification required,Additional Information• Conducts patient assessments, develops and implements plans of care, and evaluates treatment effectiveness for complex, borderline stepdown-level patients,• Manages patients with multisystem conditions using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice,• Administers medications and coordinates care across interdisciplinary teams and hospital departments,• Serves as a patient advocate in collaboration with spiritual care, palliative care, and ethics teams,• A pass/fail EKG (Dysrhythmia) exam is required on the first day; two attempts are allowed and a study guide will be provided,• Navy blue scrubs required,• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
