Sole practitioners welcome if seeking to reduce hours, distractions, and stress.Candidates who ARE / HAVE HELD PARTNER POSITIONS (at a MID-SIZE TO LARGE law firm) who DO NOT have a portable book of business WILL BE CONSIDERED IF they are:VERY CONFIDENT they could quickly build a book of business given their exp, contacts, etc.Able to SUPPORT prior success building a book of business at prior law firmsANDOPEN to a starting salary BELOW what is typical for a law firm partner, while building a bookCommute: The work is ON SITE for the most part, with some flex to work remotely as needed. The office location is very close to LIRR train station for those living west or north of Long Island.The salary range is ~$150k to $210k, depending on experience and value of portable book of business, plus bonus, plus origination fees on the portable book of business and future business brought into the firm. Approximately 4+ years of broad, relevant experience required in the transactional / corporate / commercial functional discipline.Position ResponsibilitiesTransactional / Commercial Business / Corporate work, including advising ownership and management of privately-held companies at the startup through exit stages of growth.Counsel clients and run key areas of Transactional / Commercial Business / Corporate matters, such as buying, closing, forming, structuring and selling businesses, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance matters, etc.Draft and negotiate commercial contracts.Compose / Create Operating / Shareholder / Employment Agreements.If experienced in this area, also handle client negotiations through closings related to commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing activities.Qualifications4+ years of transactional / business / corporate experience.Licensed to practice law in NY.J.D.Relevant work experience related to commercial real estate is a plus but NOT required .Portable book of business - see aboveExceptional business acumen able to counsel clients regarding various business matters.Must be an accountable self-starter with a high EQ, motivated to continue learning and taking on new responsibilities, able to own and operate client relationships/cases beginning to end.ContactFor a confidential discussion, please provide your resume to David Rivard, Director of Recruiting at Executive Alliance, at davidr@execsallied.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
