The Freight Audit Analyst is responsible for freight audit and systems operations, driving process improvements and providing insights into transportation spend management. This role provides data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPartner with your manager and cross-functional peers to oversee freight audit operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across high-volume invoice processing.Develop analytical models / automation efforts and engage in continuous innovation and communication with both operations & other business partners.Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with financial analysts and business partners to promote and encourage continued customer focus and cost reduction.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and enhance audit effectiveness.Resolve billing issues: Work collaboratively with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), internal procurement teams, freight audit system providers, and accounts payable to investigate and resolve discrepancies.Work with technology teams and payable teams to ensure timely freight invoice payments and provide excellent customer and vendor experience.Optimize freight costs: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing freight expenses and communicating with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and freight system vendors.Identify, develop, manage and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.QualificationsYou Must HaveBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups) experience.2+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related field experience.Experience navigating and using common TMS/freight audit software tools.We Value Demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis.Prioritizing and managing time effectively in dynamic environments.Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks.Working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, PowerBI or similar) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP).Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.Proven experience with Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center processes and systems with knowledge of freight pricing structures and charges.In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
