DescriptionWe're seeking a dedicated full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide compassionate, high-quality psychiatric care in a dynamic, integrative setting. This year-round role requires weekend availability and offers the opportunity to work in one of the most scenic treatment environments in the country.Broad Statement of Responsibilities: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) is a licensed practitioner responsible for managing mental health conditions and coordinating comprehensive psychiatric care for clients at All Points North. Working within State and Federal regulations and the standards of advanced nursing and psychiatric practice, the Psych NP provides patient-centered care through psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing evaluation of client progress. In this role, the Psych NP integrates evidence-based psychiatric care with medical oversight as needed, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support holistic mental health and wellness.Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medicationsExperience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.Familiarity with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation practices.BLS/CPR certification (required); ACLS preferred.Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.Education: This position requires the following education and licensure:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner ProgramCurrent Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) LicensureCurrent Nurse Practitioner certificationExperience: This position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Nurse Practitioner role preferred with substance abuse experience.Special Skills & Knowledge: Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable, and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be able to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, speak English, hear, use a telephone, drive an automobile, and operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, and fax machine.Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Materials & Equipment: Copy machine, Multi-line telephone, personal computer, and fax machineEssential Requirements:High moral and ethical valuesWillingness to be open to learning and growingArticulate, with interpersonal skills to work as an integral part of a team.Must possess a valid driver's license, appropriate references, and transcript from an accredited university.Appropriate interpersonal/personal boundariesMaturity of judgment and behavior.Ability to remain flexible to accommodate changes in work schedule.Adapts effectively to new situations.Position Duties and Responsibilities - Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Emphasize preventative care and disease managementComplete psychiatric evaluations and assessments with development of treatment plan including other members of the treatment teamIdentify appropriate candidates for dTMS and ketamine treatment and provide administration of dTMS and ketamine treatmentsServe as a consultant to staff in reference to physical health questions or concerns that arise within the agencyAbility to perform H&PsRespond to all duties in a clinically appropriate and timely mannerProvide primary care services including health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of common acute and chronic medical conditions for patients in the psychiatric facility.Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop integrated treatment plans that address both physical and mental health needs.Monitor and manage the physical health side effects of psychotropic medications.Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab work; initiate appropriate interventions or referrals.Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, medications, and healthy lifestyle habits.Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case conferences.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EMR).Assist with crisis intervention and coordinate with emergency or inpatient services when necessary.Support medication-assisted treatment (MAT) protocols if applicable.Promote a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach in all care delivery.Required SkillsPMHNPInpatient Behavioral Health ExperienceMust have, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.Openings1Pay Range
