The firm represents insurance carriers and provides strategic, results-driven legal solutions in high-exposure and complex litigation matters.Responsibilities Handle insurance defense litigation matters from intake through resolution Manage first-party coverage disputes and general liability cases Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and coverage-related correspondence Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances Analyze complex insurance claims and develop case strategy and evaluations Communicate with insurance carriers, clients, experts, and opposing counsel Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on litigation strategy and case handling Support SIU/fraud-related investigations and risk mitigation efforts as neededQualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Mississippi (required) 5+ years of litigation experience (insurance defense strongly preferred) Experience in insurance coverage, general liability, or subrogation matters Alabama bar admission is a plus Exposure to SIU (Special Investigations Unit) or fraud-related claims is a plus Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Ability to independently manage litigation files and deadlines Strong communication and client management skills
