About the Company and Finance Consultant Opportunity:CFS is partnering with a client in Annapolis, MD to find a Finance ConsultantPosition is fully on site in Anne Arundel County, MDCompany offers free parking to employeesThe Finance Consultant will work between hours of 8:30am-5pm Monday-FridaySalary: $120,000 - $140,000Job Duties for the Finance Consultant:Review applicant financial details and manage the financial approval workflow for new resident onboardingLead monthly close activities and ensure accurate, timely reportingPrepare and analyze financial statements for leadership reviewDevelop annual budgets and support long-term financial and tax planning strategiesPartner with department heads to build and monitor yearly expense and capital budgetsOversee day-to-day accounting operations including billing, collections, general ledger entries, payroll processing, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliationsCoordinate audit preparation and maintain required documentation for internal and external auditsParticipate in high-level organizational decision-making as part of the management teamProvide financial analysis and planning support to department managers and directorsPrepare and distribute IRS 1099 forms in compliance with reporting requirementsSupervise financial transaction processing systems and ensure accuracy and efficiencyMaintain GAAP-compliant financial records and reporting practicesEnsure compliance with all financial laws, regulations, and reporting obligationsCommunicate potential financial or operational risks to appropriate oversight committeesManage relationships with external auditors and address recommendations or findingsMonitor cash flow, cash balances, and support cash forecastingPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications for the Finance Consultant:Bachelors or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related5+ years' healthcare accounting experienceMust have experience with MatrixCare softwareAdvanced level Excel skillsSupervisory experience
