Manufacturing Engineer

Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054 Duration: 12 Months Shift: 8AM – 5PM Summarize the main purpose of the role. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the primary engineering personnel supporting manufacturing operations including process validation activities. The individual performing this role will have strong collaboration with the line supervisor, Quality Engineer and operators to address all the opportunities found in the assigned manufacturing line. He/She will be accountable on quality, output and yield of the assigned manufacturing line. He/She will serve as the engineering management representative in the manufacturing line, executing initiatives and working directly with the DL workforce. This person may also have a role beyond the line support engineering as a sustaining engineer for the department. As a Senior Engineer, this person is one of the most experienced and expected to be subject matter expert in the site products and process. Experience Details Minimum 5 years Process Validations experience is required. Basic knowledge of applicable US non-US applicable regulations. Knowledge and proficiency in the application and principles of Manufacturing/Process Engineering. Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally to assist with resolving Quality/Engineering issues. Catheter assembly experience is required. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees. Knowledge of common office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Knowledge of statistical analysis. 3-D drawing (Solidworks required). Establish manufacturing tooling and processes Assist the manufacturing team resolving manufacturing issues Support manufacturing and tooling projects Provide manufacturing leadership to contract manufacturing sites Resolving manufacturing and tooling problems Develop manufacturing processes and equipment Made equipment and manufacturing process Manage the manufacturing engineering team Improve manufacturing's efforts in all manufacturing operations Maintain manufacturing technical process documentation Support supervisors in training manufacturing personnel on manufacturing process Develop new production equipment to improve manufacturing processes Provide production support for manufacturing and assembly equipment Provide engineering support for existing manufacturing processes Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods Maintain and improve current manufacturing assembly process Implementing continuous improvement in manufacturing Utilize lean manufacturing methods to enhance manufacturing efficiencies and reduce costs Evaluate manufacturing processes to continually improve efficiencies at manufacturing facilities Develop and improve manufacturing processes by reviewing exisitng product and manufacturing processes
