Parts Location Manager

Position Specifics:Department: PartsReports to: General Manager or Aftermarket ManagerSupervises: May supervise Parts Counter Salesperson, Parts and Service Outside Sales Representative, and other Parts StaffPurpose:Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.Responsibilities:o Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfactiono Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with other store locationso Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectiveso Develops and executes Parts Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goalso Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedureso Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credito Maximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goalso Ensures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working ordero Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positiono Manages overall facility securities including but not limited to: securing gates and doors to location during closed hours, keeping record of key holders, implementing security measureso Communicates to Corporate Parts Manager on location facility needs and improvements related to parts.o Works collaboratively with sales and service department in the Customer Account Management (CAM) strategies and providing excellent customer service.Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:o 1+ years experience in Parts Department operationso Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionso Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groupso Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operationso Ability to analyze and interpret internal reportso Ability to work extended hours and weekendso Excellent customer service skillso High School Diploma or equivalent experienceParts Location ManagerPowered by JazzHR
