Staff Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening in our Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, California office for a Staff or Senior Staff-Level Environmental Professional to assist with the following tasks:conducting various field tasks comprised of site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractor,preparing daily field reports;various office tasks comprised of data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases,assisting with report preparation and other project documents,phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors,phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users, andmanagement of tasks and task budgets. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Certification: Current OSHA HAZWOPER training. Other certifications and registrations a plus.Required Skills and Experience: The successful candidate should haveExperience in environmental-related work, including field tasks such as:Site reconnaissanceSoil, soil vapor, and groundwater samplingBorehole loggingMonitoring well installationAir monitoringCoordination and oversight of subcontractorsPreparation of daily field reportsExperience with office-based project tasks, including:Data compilationReview and assimilation of historical information and environmental databasesAssisting with report preparation and project documentationPhone and email coordination with subcontractors and vendorsPhone and email coordination with site owners/users for interviews and discussionsManagement of project tasks and task budgetsExperience working on construction sites (preferred)Strong foundational writing skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skillsFamiliarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E1903-11 standardsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with support teamsProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelPrior work experience with a consulting firm (preferred)Status: Full time, on-siteLocation: Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, CA
