Norfolk Virginia Company DriverPay: $1,500.00 - $1,800.00 per weekJob description:Company OverviewUniversal Logistics is one of the leading drayage providers in the U.S. We continue to expand our footprint and we are looking for qualified contractors to service both international and domestic container freight.What we Offer:Potential gross earnings up to $1,500 - $1,800 weeklyPORT Work - Required to obtain a TWIC card (Universal Reimbursement)Dayshift - 5:00am-5:00pmLong and short lanes availableAll runs are HOME DAILYLight Touch FreightFull benefits packagePaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysFlat rate pay - PER LOADConsistent year round workRESPONSIBILITIES:Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.REQUIREMENTS:Must be at least 21 years of agePrior intermodal experience preferred but not requiredClass A CDLHazmat preferred. Universal will reimburse if interested in obtaining.6 months of verifiable on the job experience in the last yearClean MVR - no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 year
