Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Systems AdministratorLocation-RemoteRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and automate infrastructure and application delivery pipelines. This role blends system administration, DevOps practices, and security (DevSecOps) to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)Manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controlsAutomate system provisioning, configuration, and deploymentsMonitor system performance, availability, and security threatsImplement security best practices (IAM, patching, vulnerability management)Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the SDLCManage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)Conduct system audits, compliance checks, and incident responseMaintain documentation for systems, processes, and security proceduresMentor junior engineers and guide best practicesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field6–10 years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or related rolesStrong experience with Linux/Unix and scripting (Bash, Python)Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and system securityExperience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience with security tools (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners)Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, or CKAExperience with zero-trust architecture and security automationKey TraitsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsSecurity-first mindset with attention to detailAbility to balance speed, reliability, and securityGood communication and cross-team collaboration skills
