The Environmental Technician will be responsible for conducting fieldwork and inspections, including environmental site assessments, bulk sampling, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and air quality evaluations. Additional responsibilities include supporting remediation projects, collecting field data, performing regulatory compliance tasks, and preparing detailed reports. The role requires collaboration with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.QualificationsMust pass a background checkHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License and Reliable TransportationProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is requiredEffective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and client interactionsAbility to work on-site and travel locally as requiredPrevious Skills a PlusStrong expertise in Environmental Services, including site assessment, sampling, and remediationProficiency in soil and groundwater sampling and analysisConstruction and Building System knowledgeExperience with asbestos and lead-based paint projects, including identification, sampling, and management plansKnowledge of regulations and standards related to environmental health and safetyCertified Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI) or willingness to obtain certificationCertified Lead-Based Paint Inspector Proficiency with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) is a plusBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
