Trident Consulting is seeking a " Bioanalytical Scientist” for one of our clients in " Aliso Viejo, CA” A global leader in business and technology services.Role: Bioanalytical Scientist Location: Aliso Viejo, CADuration: 12 Months ContractStart Date: 05/04/2026Pay Rate: $42.79 – $53.51/hr on W2Position Overviewseeking a motivated Bioanalytical Scientist I to join the Pharmacokinetics, Drug Disposition, and Clinical Pharmacology team. This team develops and executes nonclinical and clinical ADME strategies for novel pharmaceutical products and supports bioanalytical activities through immunoassay and LC-MS/MS technologies.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS bioanalytical method development for small molecules and peptides, with the ability to independently develop, optimize, troubleshoot, qualify, and execute bioanalytical assays in support of research and development programs.Key ResponsibilitiesBioanalytical Method Development & AnalysisDevelop, optimize, troubleshoot, and qualify non-regulated LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods.Perform bioanalytical sample analysis in biological fluids and tissue matrices.Conduct quantitative analysis of small molecules, peptides, biologics, and metabolites.Utilize sample preparation techniques including:Protein Precipitation (PPT)Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE)Solid Phase Extraction (SPE)Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate laboratory notebooks and records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Prepare formal study reports and bioanalytical sections for regulatory submissions.Ensure timely reporting of experimental results and project updates.Laboratory OperationsOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS instrumentation and related laboratory equipment.Support laboratory organization, equipment calibration, and maintenance activities.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with Pharmacokinetics, Drug Disposition, Clinical Pharmacology, and Nonclinical Development teams.Provide bioanalytical support to research and development project teams.Communicate scientific findings effectively to internal stakeholders.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline with 3–6 years of relevant industry experience, ORMaster's Degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.Required Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience developing and qualifying LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods for:Small moleculesPeptidesExperience with biological matrices including plasma, serum, tissue, and other biological fluids.Strong understanding of:LC-MS/MS assay developmentMethod optimizationMethod troubleshootingQuantitative bioanalysisExperience with:Protein Precipitation (PPT)Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE)Solid Phase Extraction (SPE)Demonstrated problem-solving and independent laboratory skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced research environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting ADME, pharmacokinetics, or drug metabolism studies.Familiarity with regulatory documentation and bioanalytical reporting.Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments.Key SkillsLC-MS/MSBioanalytical Method DevelopmentSmall MoleculesPeptidesADMEPharmacokinetics (PK)Drug MetabolismBioanalysisSample PreparationProtein Precipitation (PPT)Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE)Solid Phase Extraction (SPE)Method QualificationMethod ValidationAnalytical ChemistryLaboratory DocumentationScientific ReportingTroubleshootingRegulatory SupportGDP Documentation PracticesAbout Trident ConsultingTrident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
