Summary:The main function of a technical writing specialist is to develop and create accurate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) technical documents.Key Responsibilities:Collect data and testing results and then transcribe these results into statistical softwareEnsure all data collected meets the requirements of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Review documents and data sheets for legibility, clarity, and accuracyIdentify GDP errors on data sheets and work with engineering team to resolve themAssist in the maintenance of documentation in a standard format following established guidelinesOrganize the testing results & data sheets, track testing progress, and generate status reportsPartner with team members to facilitate clarification or explanation of reference materials and technical documentationProvide logistical and miscellaneous support to the engineering team conducting device testingOther duties assigned by LeadershipAdditional Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat preferredExcellent editing and proofreading skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrict attention to detailExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsKnowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or a proven track record of quickly learning policies such as theseProficient in technical writingAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teamsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field0-2 years of experience required
