DeTect is experiencing tremendous growth and is in search of an Assoicate / Assistant Buyer for our Procurement Department. Summary: The Assistant Buyer position will be responsible for assisting with the procurement cycle for the manufacturing facility in the Panama City, FL location in addition to other duties as assigned by the Company. Skills and Ability Requirements: The Asst Buyer must possess the minimum skills and abilities listed below: Good communication & organizational skills Follow up with vendors on missing or damaged goods Track backordered items Create item receipt in QuickBooks system Update BOM as items are received Assure goods are coded correctly to projects Research vendors for alternate options Assist Buyer in PO creation Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to work independently on tasks Work with other departments to Other duties and special projects as required. Education/Experience: High school diploma and 1+ years of work experience in an office environment. Language Ability: No specific non-English skills are required.
