Operations Manager

Position Title: Director of OperationsThe Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in partnering with the CEO to enhance organizational efficiency within a home automation company. This position requires a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence while managing a diverse range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will navigate the complexities of the industry, ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering high-quality service to clients. This role presents opportunities for growth, including the potential to advance to a Chief Operating Officer position. The challenges include breaking existing habits within the team and establishing effective systems to streamline operations. The Director will be instrumental in shaping the company's future and fostering a culture of innovation and customer service excellence.Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 / Year DOEDirector Of Operations ResponsibilitiesEnsure that team members are engaged in billable hoursCoordinate parts delivery to technicians and maintain schedulesOversee inventory management and establish an efficient inventory systemManage team morale and conduct regular check-insUtilize network management software to ensure proper installationsSupervise technicians and ensure timely attendance at client locationsFacilitate hiring, coaching, and performance managementMonitor and prioritize client issues and manage maintenance schedules for company vehiclesCommunicate effectively with clients and homeowners as necessaryCollaborate with partners to ensure successful project executionRecruit and onboard new team membersDirector Of Operations Requirements10 years of experience in home automation, including installation and maintenance2+ years of operational or leadership experience in a service businessGeneral construction knowledge, including the ability to read ceiling plansAbility to communicate effectively with construction trades for installation purposesExperience with network management systems such as Cisco MerakiProficient in automation software, including Crestron and Control4Strong capability to drive efficiency in sales, costs, supplies, and operationsPossession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicleBachelor's degree is preferredBackground in the automation industry is preferredExperience in the construction industry is preferredPrevious ownership of a home automation business is preferredBenefitsPotential for ownership or equity opportunitiesCompany-sponsored 401k plan to be established by the DirectorCompany phone or stipend of up to $100 per monthCompany laptop providedComprehensive medical benefits with 100% coverage after six months22 days of vacation, sick, and personal days combinedIf you are a Director of Operations looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!
