PK-12 SPECIAL ED TEACHERMarch 2026Liberty School District is accepting applications for an additional full time PK-12 Special Education Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement; Additional endorsements preferredPrior certificated experience teaching Special Education preferredAbility to work in a positive team situationPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based special education practicesImplement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and provide positive behavior supportsUse data-driven decision making to adjust instruction and interventionsUnderstand/implement the essential state/federal requirements for providing services to students with disabilitiesAdminister and interpret formal and informal assessmentsProvide progress monitoring and regular updates toward IEP goalsCollaborate with related service providers (speech, OT, PT, school psych, counselors)Support inclusive practices by co-teaching or consulting in general education classroomsProvide accommodations and modifications for curriculum, instruction, and assessmentsMaintain accurate, compliant special education records and timelinesCommunicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needsParticipate in Student Study Team (SST/MTSS) meetings and intervention planningSupervise and support paraeducators and instructional aidesSupport students' social-emotional learning and self-advocacy skillsAssist with transition planning and services (as applicable)Participate in professional development and ongoing trainingMaintain a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environmentUse assistive technology and adaptive tools to support student access and learning (as applicable)Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all professional interactionsTO APPLY: Please apply through our website: https://www.libertysd.us/job-openingsAll required supplemental materials must also be uploaded to this site.
