The DLT provides service in one of more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, prevision and timeliness and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Service is provided to patients of all age groups. Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment and instrumentation. YesBachelor's in a Chemistry or Biological sciences field with a minimum of 24 semester hours of science courses that includeSix semester hours of chemistry andSix semester hours of biology andTwelve semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination.License/Certification/Registration required? NoEducation:* Baccalaureate degree or equivalent required (CLIA '88 regulations)* 12 hours of continuing educationExperience:* Required - up to 1 year of experience in a clinical or anatomic diagnostic laboratory* Preferred - 2 years documented laboratory training in the specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Computer SkillsDetail orientedMust be highly organized, efficient, and multifunctional. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard.
