Data Center Tech (cabling) (Ashburn)

US Citizenship required.This role will be a temporary position for 3 months. Expertise in cabling in a Data Center will be the primary skill required for this role.Job Duties:Help qualify and troubleshoot new hardware modelsDesign rack elevations and run power calculationsRack and wire new networking equipment and serversDesign process improvements for datacenter managementWork closely with Network Engineering, Compute, and Database teams for site maintenanceInventory and documentation of datacenter equipment and sparesRacking and StackingWiringFollowing Designs, not writing themTroubleshooting Network HardwareAdjust voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptionsBe able to run tape backupsSkills:Experience running neat cablingExperience testing and verifying copper and fiber cablingIntense attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience configuring routers and switchesPrevious experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fieldsFamiliarity with telecommunications equipmentStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong work ethicBe able to work under pressure
