Materials Receiver (multiple locations)

OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:The Materials Receiver position is intended to add value by assisting the Field Buyer with daily tasks including receiving all materials and maintaining accurate inventory of major material items on site.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Coordinate deliveries by accompanying truck drivers to the proper drop sitesCoordinate deliveries to dropped off at the designated location in the laydown yard for each area of constructionResponsible for ensuring all material packing slips are accurateResponsible for distributing materials to proper site personnelResponsible for inventory control and storage of items received into inventoryProvide daily report to onsite management of material deliveriesMaintain major material tracking check out logResponsible for completing necessary receiving paperwork for accounting useInspect all deliveries for damage and defectsCoordinate with Expeditor to ensure management team has delivery datesCoordinate with site management to ensure equipment is properly transferred to appropriate subcontractors in a timely mannerUploading all supporting documentation, POIRs, and updated Inventory sheets into Procore daily Track and coordinate pre-turnover maintenance of permanent plant equipmentResponsible for ensuring all materials are stored properly according to vendor requirementsCreate and maintain onsite subcontractor contact listBackup support for the Onsite PurchaserAny other duties as assigned QualificationsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ExcelA minimum of one year of construction experienceAble to operate a forkliftKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principlesProficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Scheduling SoftwareEffectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general publicKnowledge of rigging and off-loading of materialsSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situationsInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formWhat's In It For YouFinancial WellbeingCompensation: $20 to $22.50/hourly Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)Health & WellnessMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and childrenDiabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
