Learn more at www.loc.edu Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Memphis, TN, for an Assistant Softball Coach at LeMoyne-Owen College. The Assistant Softball Coach will support the Head Coach in planning and executing training sessions, developing player skills, and preparing the team for competition. Responsibilities include assisting with athlete development in softball techniques, overseeing strength and conditioning programs, and providing mentorship to student-athletes. The role also involves fostering team communication, ensuring compliance with college regulations, and maintaining a positive and supportive team environment. Qualifications Softball and Baseball expertise, with knowledge of gameplay strategies, techniques, and rules.Proficiency in Training and Strength & Conditioning to enhance athletic performance and player development.Strong Communication skills to effectively mentor, instruct, and collaborate with athletes and team staff.Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and ensuring the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.Previous coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level is preferred.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is a plus.Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is highly desirable.
