Medical Assistant/Receptionist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join Spine Capital Wisconsin team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care and administrative functions in a dynamic medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with various medical settings including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. Experience with EHR systems, medical terminology, and basic life support is highly valued. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently
Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating records
Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Support clinical staff with tasks such as medication administration, ICD coding, and specimen collection
Operate EHR systems accurately to document patient information and clinical notes
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate follow-up visits
Provide patient education on treatment plans and health maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety protocols
Handle administrative duties including answering phones, managing patient records, and insurance documentation
Qualifications
Prior experience in medical settings such as surgery, neurosurgery, pain management, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration
Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable
Experience working in hospital environments or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus
Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Professional appearance and excellent organizational skills are essential

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
