Environment Health Safety Lead
NACHI is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to oversee and lead all EHS activities across our Greenwood campus. This role partners closely with operations and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement in environmental and workplace safety performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities for the Greenwood campusSupport operations personnel with EHS compliance and coordination of EHS-related service contractsInvestigate internal and external EHS issues, initiate corrective actions, and communicate findings to managementGather data and prepare required EHS reports and metricsCoordinate, schedule, and facilitate safety and EHS training programs, including new associate orientationDevelop and maintain EHS training documentation and job task–specific work instructionsConduct hazard analyses to identify risks and opportunities for improvementLead the Environmental Management System (EMS) Team and EHS CommitteeMaintain and update company EHS policies, procedures, and required certificationsServe as the primary point of contact for customer EHS inquiriesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and other applicable regulatory and certification standardsOversee facility-related EHS activities, including fire protection systems, security, and waste managementInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with management to develop and maintain emergency response plansMaintain accurate records related to incidents, inspections, and EHS performanceStay current on EHS regulations, best practices, and industry trendsFollow all company guidelines and procedures as outlined in the associate handbookRequired & Preferred QualificationsRequired:Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information professionallyExperience conducting inspections, safety audits, and risk assessmentsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related fieldMinimum 2–3 years of EHS-related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentFamiliarity with workers’ compensation laws and processesExperience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management SystemsSpecial Training & Certifications (Preferred)OSHA 30-Hour CertificationCertified Lift Truck / Material Handling InstructorHazardous Waste Generator TrainingISO Lead Auditor Certification
