The QMS Specialist will develop and implement quality control systems, drive continuous improvement, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements. This role combines hands-on problem solving with data-driven quality methods to reduce defects, improve yield, and support production ramp-ups.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and maintain quality control plans and inspection criteria for manufacturing processesPerform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and reduce recurrenceMonitor product and process performance using statistical methods (SPC) and quality metrics; report trends and recommend improvementsConduct first article inspections, incoming inspection, in-process audits, and final product verificationWork closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and support new product introductionsCreate and maintain documentation including FMEAs, control plans, inspection instructions, and test proceduresTrain production and quality teams on inspection methods, quality standards and continuous improvement toolsSupport internal and external audits and ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and customer requirementsParticipate in design reviews to provide input on producibility and design-for-qualityUse data analysis tools to identify opportunities for cost reduction and defect preventionQualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related field) or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role or similar positionStrong knowledge of quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001 and industry-specific requirementsExperience with statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, root cause analysis, and corrective action processesProficiency with measurement and test equipment, GD&T, and inspection techniquesHands-on experience with manufacturing environments and production quality issuesFamiliarity with Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies; certification (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt) preferredExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsProficient with quality management software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel)Guild Associates is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Powered by JazzHRFTaEcqjr4P
