Prodigy Program Lesson Program InstructorsAnticipated needs: Flute, TrumpetTeach private lessons in after-school music lesson program.Responsibilities:Teach weekly music lessons in private or semi-private formats (30 weeks/year)Prepare students to perform in a Spring student recital (additional compensation provided) and/or other student music festivals, and ensembles (case-by-case basis)Establish and maintain a schedule of lessonsMaintain accurate records of lessons taken by each studentMaintain professional communication with the Director of the Prodigy Program regarding student status and all issues related to their participation in the programMaintain communication with student families regarding lessons, student progress, and practice assignmentsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor degree in music performance or music educationPossess sufficient skills to perform and demonstrate performance techniquesHave knowledge of pedagogical methods, techniques and processes to provide a sequential and consistent program of instruction for studentsPossess knowledge of appropriate literature, repertoire and teaching materials to support the teaching of instrumental musicAbility to assess student progress and engage students through varied repertoire, technical exercises, and other creative activitiesPossess appropriate communication skills to relate to students and parents positively and effectivelyStarting Date: September 2026Salary: $58.71/hr
