Marshfield Medical Center Stevens Point is seeking an Emergency Medicine/ UC Physician Assistant in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The PA is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients in collaboration with a physician. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction. Marshfield Clinic is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care PA to join the Stevens Point team with coverage to our Wi Rapids ED/UC as needed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Required Education: Master s degree nurse practitioner/Physician Assistant. EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: one to two years experience in ED/UC at APC level CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. Minimum Required Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body. Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association. Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
