Full Job Description Financial Services Accountant with specialized experience in Quickbooks, stock market, cryptocurrency, ecommerce & real estate THIS PART TIME ROLE WILL BE IN PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA AND 80% OF THE DUTIES CAN BE PERFORMED FROM HOME OFFICE (but must report in person weekly) Position Summary: Ensures the 100% integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. We are a small investment firm that invests in rental properties, stock market, cryptocurrencies, raw land and miscellaneous small business opportunities. The successful accountant shall have worked for a larger firm that has kept books for each of the above industries and has experience in each areas of investment. This is a part time contract accounting position that may be performed from home office environment with monthly reports given in person for revisions and finalization. Provide management and outside organizations with financial reports and analysis. Responsibilities: Create accounting systems and accurate chart of accounts for each areas of investment. (Real Estate, stock market, cryptocurrency & ecommerce) Post and process journal entries for investment activity Prepares general ledger entries on a monthly basis with full reconciliations Recommends solutions to moderately complex accounting problems Uses general ledger accounting software to prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts and ongoing tax liability estimate reports Create and Implement Tax Reduction Strategies Based on Current Tax Laws Analyzes current general ledger accounts to identify unusual or irregular transactions and make recommendations to resolve. Identifies potential process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information. Report monthly, quarterly and year end close to Lead CPA Payroll and Payroll Tax Prepare Preliminary Returns for CPA Review Assist with preparation of regulatory submissions and compliance Premium Tax preparation and Business Tax Filings Assist with auditor/CPA requests Conduct Audits of LLC’s in which we are invested Analyzes securities trading clearance procedures.
