Registered Nurse (Float) - Brooks Rehab Inpatient Hospitals - Full Time

Offering a comprehensive system of care, Brooks provides inpatient and outpatient services, skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care and impacts lives beyond clinical settings through community programs designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities.Responsible for the nursing care planning and management of patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Will float between both Brooks Rehab Inpatient facilities.12HR ShiftsSign On Bonus Available: $5,000 (External Only)Key Responsibilities:Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, calling for assistance from health care support personnel.Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.Each schedule will cover a 4-week period of time.All Division Nurse Float Team members are obligated to be scheduled 4 weekend shifts per schedule period (every other weekend, or every Saturday, or every Sunday).Each staff member is obligated to work a minimum 2 Fridays, 2 Mondays, or a Friday and a Monday per schedule period.Holiday rotation may be includedQualifications:Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Florida.1 year of experience in acute care or post-acute care inpatient hospital required.Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification.Must be able to attend a week of Orientation/Training, Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pmFloat Locations:University Hospital -3599 University Blvd., S Jacksonville FL 32216Bartram Hospital-6400 Brooks Bartram Drive E Jacksonville FL 32258Thriving in a culture that you can be proud of, you will also receive many employee benefits such as the following:Competitive PayComprehensive Benefits packageEmployee DiscountsClinical Education and Professional Development ProgramsBrooks Rehabilitation is a designated Magnet Hospital.
