Inventory Control Clerk (W.I.P. )

Job Purpose The Work in Progress (WIP) Worker is responsible for tracking, managing, and moving in-process inventory within the warehouse and production areas of a peanut manufacturing facility. The role ensures accurate documentation of materials, timely processing of WIP items, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Proficiency with NetSuite ERP is required to maintain accurate inventory records and support production operations. In the event a WIP Worker is out, another qualified individual would serve as a backup. Qualification Requirements · Flexibility to work varying shifts that are 8 hours or more, including evenings and weekends, as needed, along with the willingness to work overtime. · To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily. · Team-oriented. · Reliable attendance and punctuality. · Abide by the company’s core values and mission statement. Minimum Qualifications · High School Diploma, or equivalent, is preferred but not required. · Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred but not required. · Previous ERP System Management experience preferred. · Ability to read, write, and interpret documents. · Ability to add and subtract with basic numbers. · Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. · Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Computer skills. · Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, and counting. · Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. · Collaborate with other team members, including management, to ensure smooth operations and a timely completion of tasks. · Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to packaging and food safety regulations. · Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding hygiene, dress code, and conduct in the workplace. Essential Functions · Ensure accurate completion and closure of WIP jobs are in the NetSuite System. · Enter, update, and validate production data in the NetSuite System. · Identify discrepancies in WIP data and coordinate with other team members and Management to correct errors. · Load film onto the machine and wrap pallets to be transported. · Follow the NetSuite SOPs accurately. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the NetSuite System. · This position operates in a food manufacturing facility that exclusively processes peanuts. Employees must be able to safely and effectively perform work within this environment while adhering to all safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and food safety standards. Exposure to airborne and contact allergens is unavoidable. · Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Physical Demands · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and repetitively. · Must be able to stand on hard-working surfaces for the duration of the shift. · Must be able to push, pull, stoop, bend over, climb ladders and steps, work overhead, walk, stand, for the duration of the shift. · Must have good manual dexterity. Work Environment · The primary work environment is a production floor setting, where temperatures may vary from hot to cold based on seasonal changes and operational conditions. Employees may be exposed to moderate-to-high noise levels, humidity, and other typical environmental factors of a production facility. · Ability to work with various tools, such as handheld scan guns, computers and printers. · Wear appropriate PPE. · Work in a peanut and tree nut allergen environment, as well as other potential irritants, such as salt, spices, and seasonings. · Work in an environment with equipment, such as high-speed machinery, forklifts, man lifts, shrink wrap machine, etc. Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Work Location: In person
