Job Description
Position Title: Facilities Supervisor

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Direct Reports: Maintenance Technicians, HVAC Technician, Custodians
Summary
Facilities Supervisor manages the preventative maintenance of all equipment on site. Implements CMMS system and dictates work orders to the appropriate technician. Routinely spot checks quality of work being performed. Completes orders of stock items including custodial consumable items, hvac consumable items, and a stock of replacement parts for HVAC units and production equipment. Makes work orders and routinely communicates progress on projects to the appropriate manager. Ensures the procurement of replacement parts in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
SIOP meeting reporting.
Custodial and maintenance team management.
Implements work order system, entering, tracking, and ensuring completion.
Maintains reasonable stock of consumable items for custodial and maintenance departments.
Retrieval and submittal of quotes for routine repairs.
Ensure timely work order completion and competency.
Verifies employees have support in the day to day workflow.
Act as operating engineer for Mgrid. Rotating responsibility to respond to emergencies involving Mgrid with the BAS Operator.
Cross- Departmental Functions:
Work with management of other departments in order to facilitate effective and timely solutions
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures and Certifications:
Above average soft skills and ability to calmly resolve tense situations.
Illinois Department of Federal Regulation restricts individuals with felony convictions relating to cannabis or assault.
Must be a proponent of medical cannabis.
Experience in operation of a variety of equipment and tools, such as forklift, scissor lifts, etc.
Ability to work with limited supervision, be able to multi-task and be a self-starter.
Knowledge in the use of building management systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a physically charged environment
Must be able maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
Must be able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Work Schedule:
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be available to respond to emergency after hours situations.
