Multifamily Preconstruction Coordinator / Assistant Manager

Job DescriptionEnsure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator to join our wood-frame, multifamily preconstruction division. This position will work directly with and be trained by the Director of Preconstruction and will collaborate with Project Managers and other Operations staff. Responsibilities:* Support all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation * Procore administration * * Keeping up with new/old subs * Maintaining an accurate data base* Invitation to bid follow-ups * Light bid scoping (learning, growing point) * Light budget creation (learning, growth point) * Document control/bid filing/filing organization * Prepare contracts/LOI's * Historical cost database management (this is something I plan to build for our department in the future) * Subcontractor usage log database management (this is something I plan to build for our department in the future) * Create Invitation to bid packages and invite specific contractors to the project as directed. * Sit in on design Architectural/Engineering meetings (just as a fly on the wall, to be a sponge and learn) * Subcontractor prequalification management * Support onsite personnel and subcontractors * Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients * Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specificationsQualifications:* Previous experience in construction planning and ability to read plans and blueprints * Familiarity with construction management software: Procore and Bluebeam * Strong use of Excel * Strong leadership qualities and communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills and level-headed temperament * Deadline and detail-oriented, meticulous * Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, etc. desired but not a pre-requisiteCompany Description Cope Equities LLC, and its subsidiaries, is a rapidly growing real estate developer and construction company based in north Texas.
