GYN/GYN-Oncology Coder
Job Summary: GYN Oncology Coder will conduct daily interactions in a manner that demonstrates a positive and organized attitude and effectively models the organization’s philosophy and values. They will be responsible for verifying that all processes are completed efficiently and completely. Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy standards.
Job Qualifications:
1) Certified Coder with 3 + years of experience in GYN or GYN Oncology coding
2) High school graduation or proof of GED
3) Active certification CPC, COC, CCS, or equivalent
4) Strong knowledge of ICS- 10, CPT, HCPCS, and Oncology specific guidelines
5) Strong skills in working with computers and communication equipment
6) Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff members and clients/Physicians
7) Oncology experience is required
8) Ability to accurately resolve claims and client concerns
9) Knowledge of medical billing and coding terminology
10) Knowledge of computer software programs including: Word, Outlook, EMR, Selected facility software system
11) Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
12) Must be motivated
13) Must be dependable
Mental / Physical Demands:
1) Stamina to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
2) Mental alertness and critical thinking skills
3) Medical/clinical billing background preferred
4) Professional and supportive attitude to patients, co-workers, and all customers of the organization
5) Requires the ability to stand, sit, bend, reach overhead, and carry 20 pounds if necessary
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
1) GYN Oncology coding - Assign accurate ICD – 10, CPT, HCPCS codes for gynecologic oncology encounters, procedures, and treatments
2) Documentation review – Analyze provider documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
3) Compliance auditing – Maintain adherence to federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines
4) Denial resolution – Assist with coding related claim denials and provide corrective recommendations
Assist with processing unidentified payments/obtain EOBs
5) Responsible for Entire Billing Process from Insurance Verifications to Collections.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
