Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Chino Valley, AZ

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver expert nursing care in a dynamic, combined-acuity stepdown unit serving a diverse patient population. This travel RN opportunity is based in Chino Valley, AZ, within a 10-bed Multi Care Unit offering ICU, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Medical Surgical (MST) care with ratios tailored to acuity levels. Nurses in this role provide critical care for patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, respiratory arrest, post-op complications, cardiac irregularities, and substance withdrawal, among others.Key Responsibilities:Provide bedside nursing care in a combined ICU/PCU/MST setting with patient assignments based on acuity.Titrate and manage infusion drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin.Perform 12-lead EKGs and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, collaborating with remote monitor techs.Float to Emergency Care MST, Pediatric units, and a sister campus ICU/PCU unit occasionally with appropriate notice.Adhere to scheduling including 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.Participate in standby call rotation during low census periods.Maintain compliance with scrub dress code requirements.Qualifications and Experience:Active RN licensure.Minimum 2 years ICU experience or equivalent combination of ICU and PCU/Med Surg experience in larger facilities.Current BLS and ACLS certifications.Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam on or before second attempt prior to contract signing.Candidates must have no recent employment (past 12 months) within facilities affiliated with CommonSpirit entities.Flexibility to float across units and campuses as needed.Location Insights:Chino Valley, AZ, is a tranquil community known for its beautiful high desert landscapes and close-knit atmosphere.
