Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process • One year of nursing experience required • Previous telemetry experience preferred • North Carolina RN license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required • Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school required; BSN or MSN preferred • Assess patient physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs • Perform bedside point of care testing as required • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for patient care evaluation • Participate in patient education and discharge planning • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex medical problems • Participate in professional development and unit performance improvement activities • Must be proficient in English (read, write, speak) • Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in care delivery Facility: This healthcare organization is a leading academic medical center that provides comprehensive patient care services throughout the region.
